Amidst the protests of some clubs against some arbitration decisions in the recent rounds of the Moroccan Championship, the official website of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation published a statement in which it confirmed that the Arbitration Directorate will hold a communication meeting with various media outlets during this week.
The statement stated that, in the framework of strengthening communication and openness to various media outlets, the National Technical Directorate of Arbitration is organizing a communication meeting for representatives of the media, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, starting at eleven o'clock in the morning, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex. This communication meeting aims, according to the statement, to shed light on the latest developments related to the development of the national arbitration system, especially regarding the modern techniques used in decision-making, especially the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, with practical and approximate explanations on how to use it, and the mechanisms of intervention in different arbitration cases, and the extent of its contribution to increasing the accuracy of decisions and promoting the principle of equal opportunities within the field. This meeting will also be an opportunity to exchange views and open a direct discussion with media representatives, by answering various questions related to arbitration affairs, and bringing journalists closer to the technical and organizational aspects that frame the work of referees, in order to strengthen mutual understanding and establish a communication culture based on transparency and openness.
