LG Electronics has launched its latest robot, the LG CLOi ServiceBot (model LDLIM31), which is an autonomous door-to-door service robot designed to provide safe delivery services in the hospitality and healthcare industries. The CLOi servBot features four doors and a spacious internal storage space, and can perform simple and frequent delivery tasks to reduce the workload of staff.
This introduction strengthens LG’s portfolio of advanced AI robots and robot control solutions, in line with the company’s plans to accelerate the expansion of its B2B businesses, particularly in delivery and logistics services. The servBot CLOi was first launched in South Korea.
CLOi Door-to-Door servBot Gains Global Recognition Designed for indoor hospitality and healthcare environments, the LG CLOi servBot is capable of using elevators to move from one floor to another. Its six wheels, each with an independent suspension system, provide excellent stability, allowing the CLOi servBot to transport beverages over uneven surfaces without major spills.
For greater user convenience, the CLOi servBot’s doors can be configured to open or close automatically during operation, and the LG CLOi servBot can know when a delivery has been made, as camera sensors embedded in its internal compartments detect when items have been received. Using an artificial intelligence algorithm, the new model can safely navigate around obstacles, determine the optimal route to its destination(s), and communicate with up to 20 other CLOi ServiceBots to maximize task efficiency and prevent incidents.
The CLOi servBot’s 10.1-inch front screen serves as a mobile advertising platform whose content can be easily downloaded via the LG CLOi terminal (accessible via mobile or web) or the CMS mobile application.
In addition, LG’s latest CLOi solution can accompany customers to a specific destination and provide voice guidance to visually impaired users. Additionally, users can monitor the robot’s status in real time using the LG CLOi terminal, which also provides convenient scheduling and paging functions.
