HIBAPRESS
The atmosphere of preparations for the central regions' qualifiers for the Hassan II Award for the art of Tabourida turned into a state of sadness and grief, following a tragic incident that claimed the life of a young man from the Tamaslouht community of Al Haouz province.
According to preliminary data, the victim was participating in a "Sorba" led by the leader Zakaria, before being involved in an accidental incident resulting from a sudden explosion of gunpowder while preparing the traditional rifles known as "Al-Makahil," used in Tabourida performances. The incident caused a great shock among the participants and attendees, especially as the incident occurred during the field preparations that precede the start of the competitions associated with this ancient Moroccan cultural heritage. Immediately upon notification, the local authorities and elements of the Royal Gendarmerie moved to the scene of the accident, where an investigation was opened by order of the competent Public Prosecution to determine all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
