The Gabonese Ambassador to Morocco, Branly Martial Obolo, confirmed on Wednesday in Casablanca that the Kingdom of Morocco, under the insightful leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, plays a key role in promoting South-South cooperation and supporting development in the African continent.

Martial Obolo explained, in his speech during the opening of the fourth session of "Petroleum Days", held under the slogan "Building Attractiveness: Strategies and Conditions for Developing African Hydrocarbons", that the relations of friendship and cooperation between Gabon and Morocco constitute, in this regard, a model of mutual trust and active solidarity. He added that "Africa's energy future will be built through dialogue, innovation, smart investments, and, above all, through our collective ability to transform our resources into opportunities for prosperity for the benefit of our people". The ambassador also expressed his hope that this meeting will open new horizons for cooperation and that it will contribute to developing concrete solutions for the benefit of a more efficient, inclusive, and sustainable African energy sector. This fourth edition, organized by the African consulting office "3M-Partners & Conseils" (headquartered in Libreville, Gabon) until May 23, focuses on several strategic axes, including reforms and governance, data and digitization, tax attractiveness, local content, and the valorization of natural gas, as well as the role of hydrocarbons in the energy transition in Africa, with a view to promoting the sustainable and value-added exploitation of energy resources on the continent. It is worth mentioning that the "Petroleum Days" initiative, which was launched in 2023, witnessed the participation of about 300 senior executives, representing more than 35 administrations, institutions, companies, and national companies belonging to 12 African countries.
