HIBAPRESS
A number of citizens have expressed their increasing concern about the phenomenon of the death of sacrifices, which has been recorded this year at significant rates in several Moroccan cities, including Berkane, Oujda, Ahfir, Tangier and others, which has opened the door to questions about the real reasons behind these recurring cases.
Observers believe that multiple factors may be behind this phenomenon, including transport conditions, nutrition, and climate change, in addition to the possibility of some livestock being infected with diseases or health complications that have affected their condition after purchase. In the absence of accurate official data to date, a number of citizens have asked the competent authorities to clarify the reasons for this phenomenon and to strengthen veterinary control to protect the national herd and reassure Moroccan families who are preparing to buy sacrifices.
