When it comes to football, Morocco is one of the most accomplished and prolific countries in Africa. The Moroccan men’s team is currently ranked the best in Africa and is ranked 13th in the world. The country’s football infrastructure is among the best on the continent and enjoys strong recognition from CAF, which has awarded Morocco the right to host AFCON 2025, and WAFCON 2022 and 2024.

In recent years, the country has invested heavily in the development of football. All these efforts have borne fruit with men’s and women’s teams reaching the semi-finals and round of 16 respectively in the last FIFA World Cup™. The FIFA World Cup™ will be held for the first time in Morocco, and for only the second time in Africa.
