A few days ago, the primary school of Marrakech sentenced to 10 months in prison and a fine of 500 dirhams a person who attacked a muezzin.
The details of the incident go back to when the muezzin was heading for the evening prayer and he encountered at the gate of the mosque a number of young men who were drunk and making noise, so he asked them to stay away from the mosque before he had a verbal altercation with one of them, which prompted the young man to chase the muezzin from behind and hit him with a stone on the head, which made him lose consciousness and hastened his transfer to the hospital for treatment.
