The permanent office of the Association of Women Writers of Africa, “Team Maroc”, took the decision to expel one of its members, Latifa El-Miskini, from its structures during a meeting held yesterday, Sunday August 4, remotely, chaired by Badia Radi, president of Women Writers of Africa and Morocco.
The permanent office of the Morocco team responded to the uproar caused by some members of the executive office of the Association of Moroccan Women Writers, in cooperation with elements not involved in the Moroccan and African Association and other hands whose names are based on the unknown, in a desperate attempt to demolish this cultural building which is part of a vast project led at the national level throughout the national territory and at the regional level and heading south towards Africa under a broad title related to the field of development, including cultural development, which is considered a lever for all intersections of thought and knowledge.
The permanent office “Team Morocco” noted this, based on Article 13 of the Basic Law of the Association of African Women Writers, which stipulates that the head of the permanent office ensures the normal functioning of the association. While Ms. Latifa Al-Miskini has committed acts such as harming and insulting the principles and objectives of the Association and opening fronts and conflicts with which the Association of African Women Writers has nothing to do, this would disrupt the normal functioning of the Association and create a kind of chaos and mislead public opinion with irresponsible statements that seek to confuse, confuse, distort the facts and plagiarize. As president of the Association of Women Writers of Morocco, in flagrant violation of the laws governing collective work, in violation of the founding and internal statute of the association, and create internal divergences within the structures of the Association of Women Writers of Morocco and Africa.
Based on the powers held by the President in order to protect the normal functioning of the structures of the Association and on the basis of the Basic Law, and on the basis of the fact that the above person is a member appointed to the permanent position by the President and not an elected member of the basic structures of the Association of African Women Writers, and the justification for his presence was based on Article 17 of the Basic Law which gives the President the right to open the names of Moroccan organizations dealing with culture and the African field.
Based on the above, it was decided as follows:
First article
Expulsion of Ms. Latifa El-Miskini and termination of her membership in the permanent office of the Association of Women Writers of Africa, Morocco team, for violation of the principles and objectives of the Association as stipulated in the Fundamental Law, effective Monday, August 4, 2024.
Article two of the law on the Permanent Bureau states that a copy of this decision will be communicated to the person concerned by any legal means of communication, and article three states that a copy of this decision will be communicated to the governor of the region of Rabat-Salé-Region of Kénitra, governor of the prefecture of Rabat.
