The rental price of furnished apartments and shared rooms in El Jadida has increased in recent days, given the strong demand from Moroccans at home and abroad for the capital of Doukkala.

According to information gathered by Heba Press, obtaining a furnished apartment to rent has become a difficult task given the record demand this year and the overpopulation observed in the city of El Jadida.

A number of residents of the city of El Jadida have resorted to renting out their apartments or some rooms in their homes to take advantage of abundant demand and limited supply, as the price of an ordinary apartment in a popular neighborhood in the center of El Jadida is now between 500 and 600 dirhams, whereas previously it did not exceed 250 to 300 dirhams per night.
