Bahraini runner wins 3,000m steeplechase gold at Paris Olympics

Today, Tuesday, Bahraini runner Winifred Yaffe won the gold medal in the 3,000 meters steeplechase at the women’s athletics competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
World champion Yafi set a new Olympic record after finishing the race in 8 minutes, 52 seconds and 76 hundredths of a second, surpassing the previous Olympic record set at the 2008 tournament by six seconds, to win the second gold medal for the Arabs at Paris 2024.
As for Ugandan Berthe Chimutai, gold medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she came in second place to win the silver medal.
