The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour, chaired the inauguration ceremony of the new industrial complex of the Mutandis group in Berrechid on Tuesday in Berrechid.
This industrial complex, which mobilized an investment of 285 million dirhams, offers professional opportunities for the local population, thanks in particular to the creation of 250 direct jobs.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Mezzour welcomed this investment capable of strengthening the capacity of national production and the diversification of products with strong local integration meeting the growing needs of the Moroccan and African markets.
The minister included this project, “at the cutting edge of technology”, within the framework of the “High Royal Guidelines aimed at strengthening the industrial and food sovereignty of Morocco, through the reduction of imports and the promotion of exports”.
The industrial complex, which includes production units for liquid detergent, cosmetic products and beverages, demonstrates the capacity of Moroccan companies to offer international quality products at competitive prices, he stressed.
For his part, Adil Douiri, CEO of the Mutandis group, indicated that the project, which will create no less than 300 direct job positions in the near future, aims to consolidate the orientation towards local production to replace certain products imported from ‘Daily use.
He assured that the Moroccan company is capable of offering these products with the same quality of multinationals, but at prices 15 to 30% cheaper, noting that it is also about contributing to the promotion of agriculture nationally, through the processing of Moroccan agricultural products.
The new industrial complex, built on a total area of 40,000 m2, includes three main factories, including one for Liquid Detergent with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes. It is also a cosmetics factory, with a production capacity of 4,000 tonnes per year, and a beverage factory, with an annual production capacity of 120,000 tonnes.
