National Road No. 12, connecting Imilchil and Tinghir, witnessed an incident this Sunday evening, which prompted the local authorities and concerned services to mobilize. A dual-purpose transport vehicle overturned in the middle of the Bachdal wadi, under circumstances that coincided with atmospheric disturbances and fluctuations in the region.
According to local sources, the accident resulted in the survival of all the vehicle's passengers, with no loss of life, a toll described as reassuring, despite the dangerous situation caused by the vehicle being in the wadi.
Immediately after the accident, emergency interventions were activated. The council of Bouzmo commune, in coordination with the local authorities, mobilized a bulldozer belonging to the commune to contribute to the removal of the vehicle from the wadi and to secure traffic on the national road.
This intervention comes as part of precautionary and emergency measures aimed at protecting road users and quickly addressing the risks associated with weather fluctuations, especially in mountainous areas that experience rising wadi levels during periods of rainfall.
