Ministry of Health: 10 new cases of “Covid-19”

Today, Friday, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection announced that 10 new cases of “Covid-19” were recorded, without any deaths, between August 3 and 9.

The ministry stated in the weekly bulletin “Covid-19” that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine reached 24 million 924 thousand 922 people, while the number of people vaccinated with the second dose reached 23 million and 426 thousand 958 people, while 6 million 889 thousand 693 people received the third dose of the anti-virus vaccine, while the number of people who received the fourth dose reached 61 thousand people.

The same source adds that the new count of infections by the virus brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 1,279,416 cases since the announcement of the first case in Morocco on March 2, 2020, indicating that the weekly rate of “positivity” reached 12.8%.

New cases of infection were recorded in the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (6 cases), Casablanca-Settat (03 cases) and Fez-Meknes (one case).

Furthermore, the cumulative number of deaths reached 16,309 cases (with a general lethality index of 1.3%), while the total number of active cases reached 13 cases.
