HIBAPRESS – The Egyptian artist and singer Ahmed Fahmy, during his hosting on the program "Under Pressure" on the MBC screen, revealed hidden aspects of his personal life, admitting his failure as a husband despite his love for his ex-wife, the singer Amira Farag.
He explained that their union at a young age, where they met at twenty and had their first child at twenty-four, was the main reason for the psychological harm she suffered. He affirmed that despite the separation after a marriage that lasted 28 years and resulted in "Omar and Hassan," he succeeded as a father and maintains a strong friendship with her. Regarding the behind-the-scenes of post-divorce, Fahmy described that stage as confusing and arduous, indicating that he left the marital home and moved to a new residence during the filming of one of his artistic works, which led him to live days without basic necessities like a refrigerator and his feeling of pity for himself at that time. On the artistic level, he expressed his annoyance with direct comparison to actor Ahmed Fahmy simply due to the similarity of names, despite their different career paths. He prefers to be compared to the artist Ahmed Ezz, whom he respects greatly, coinciding with a controversy sparked by pictures of a "cat" gathering between him and the artist Hana El Zahed after their divorce.
