The police forces in the Ibn M'sick security district in Casablanca were able to arrest five individuals in the early hours of Tuesday, September 15th. They are suspected of involvement in a case related to sports riots and possessing bladed weapons under circumstances that pose a danger to people and property.
According to preliminary investigation information, the individuals in question are suspected of being affiliated with one of the fan groups of local football teams. They were apprehended in a neighborhood of Casablanca and found in possession of six large bladed weapons, in addition to a bottle of flammable liquid.
The arrested suspects have been placed under police custody pending the judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution. The investigation aims to uncover all the circumstances and backgrounds of this case. Meanwhile, research and investigations are ongoing to apprehend any other presumed individuals involved in committing these criminal acts.
