HIBAPRESS – Tangier
The French group "PURFLUX GROUP" announced the suspension of production activities at its "Filter Systems Maroc" factory in Tangier, following the fire that broke out on Friday, September 11, inside the industrial unit in the Tangier Automotive City zone.
The group stated, in an official statement, that initial assessments revealed severe damage to the production facilities, which currently prevents the resumption of work at the factory, confirming that intervention teams managed to control the fire without human casualties.
The company explained that investigations are still ongoing to determine the causes and circumstances of the fire outbreak, while measures have begun to be taken to ensure the continuity of activities and limit the impact of the Tangier factory's shutdown on its customers and partners, without specifying a date for the resumption of production.
The "Filter Systems Maroc" factory is one of the production units affiliated with the French group and specializes in manufacturing various types of automotive filters, including oil, air, fuel, transmission, and cabin filters.
