East Side…celebration of the National Day of Moroccans living abroad

During the period from August 9 to 10 of this month, the State and the prefectures of the Eastern region organized various activities on the occasion of the National Day of Moroccans residing abroad, which testify to the special attention paid by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, to Moroccans residing abroad.
This year, the day was commemorated under the slogan: “Investments by Moroccans residing abroad: opportunities and prospects.” This issue was highlighted by His Majesty the King in his speech on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People: “…Here, we renew our call to the youth and Moroccan entrepreneurs residing abroad to benefit from the many investment opportunities in the country, as well as the incentives and guarantees granted by the new investment charter. …”
On this occasion, the State and the prefectures of the Eastern region organized various activities aimed at highlighting the Moroccan community belonging to the region, whose number exceeds one million members. Through these activities, programs and plans addressed to the community were detailed, including the new investment charter, and responding to the questions and concerns of the members of the resident community Outside. These events encouraged the community to contribute effectively to the development and expansion of the influence of the East in the world.
The collaborators of the Eastern Regional Investment Center also participated in presentations and awareness and communication sessions in the State and in different regions, with the aim of keeping pace with investors and project leaders among Moroccans residing abroad and benefiting from the advantages and incentives offered by the Investment Charter.
The event also provided an opportunity to unveil the new digital platform “Oriental Connect”, developed by the Eastern Regional State, the Eastern Regional Council and the Eastern Regional Investment Center. The platform aims to facilitate interactions and exchanges; strengthen community ties, enabling the community to contribute meaningfully to the development and strengthening of the organization’s influence globally.
