HIBAPRESS – Dakhla
The anti-gang unit in the city of Dakhla, in the middle of this week, managed to arrest a 43-year-old individual with a prior criminal record, on suspicion of involvement in possessing and trafficking drugs and hallucinogenic pills.
The suspect was apprehended red-handed in possession of a quantity of hashish on board a motorcycle. Subsequent searches of his residence and a house under construction led to the seizure of approximately 9.5 kilograms of hashish, 870 hallucinogenic pills of the "Ecstasy" and "Rivotril" types, in addition to 40 grams of cocaine, two knives, and a sum of money suspected to be proceeds from this activity.
The arrested individual has been placed under police custody pending the judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to uncover all the attributed actions and identify the potential ramifications of this activity.
