HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Zerouih
The Nador Regional Branch of the Moroccan League for the Defense of Human Rights issued a strategic call addressed to all residents of the province, affirming its human rights and development roles, and given the vital role that electoral entitlements play in shaping the future development of the region.
The human rights body stressed in its call that integrity represents a solid foundation for building genuine trust in democratic choice, considering that electoral milestones are a fundamental test for consolidating the values of responsible citizenship and activating effective participation in managing local affairs.
In this context, the Regional League called on male and female citizens to engage consciously and responsibly, considering the exercise of the electoral right an indispensable national duty, in addition to resorting to criteria of competence, integrity, and realistic programs when choosing candidates, away from any narrow loyalties.
The call also issued strong warnings against all forms of bribery and the use of political money, calling on residents to categorically reject all practices that corrupt the free will of voters and undermine the principle of equal opportunities among candidates.
The regional branch concluded by emphasizing that the trust represented by the electoral vote requires citizen vigilance and active monitoring of all violations, thereby contributing to building a state of law and institutions and advancing the wheel of sustainable development in the Nador region.
