The political scene in the city of Tifelt is experiencing widespread controversy and great agitation on social media, following the appearance of a candidate from the Left Alliance in a live broadcast from in front of the main gate of the Tifelt municipality, documenting what he considered a serious violation of administrative neutrality and an explicit exploitation of the headquarters and equipment of the local authority for electoral purposes.
Through the live broadcast clip, the candidate spotted a vehicle loaded with electoral propaganda belonging to the Social Democratic Movement Party ("The Palm Party," headed by Abdel Samad Arshan) leaving the municipality's headquarters late at night.
The same source confirmed that the vehicle was seen transporting and unloading equipment and tools inside the aforementioned public facility, raising sharp questions to the responsible authorities about the legal cover that allows partisan propaganda vehicles access to collective headquarters and the use of its equipment at night.
In a related context, the "Left Alliance – Federation of the Democratic Left Party" branch in Tifelt joined the discussion by issuing an official statement to the public, announcing the documentation of this incident, which it described as "highly serious."
The statement clarified that the alliance's activists witnessed the incident on the night of September 20, 2026, starting at 23:07, where the process of transporting and directly placing the equipment was observed, before the vehicle permanently left the municipality's headquarters at 23:22.
The party, in its statement, considered these actions a flagrant violation of the provisions of Articles 36 and 37 of the Organic Law No. 27.11 concerning the House of Representatives, which prohibit the use of public administrations or the appropriation of the means and tools of local authorities for the benefit of any electoral campaign under any circumstances.
The Left Alliance demanded that the competent authorities open an urgent and precise investigation to determine the circumstances and details of the electoral propaganda vehicle's entry, and to take legal consequences and determine responsibilities, emphasizing that administrative neutrality and the preservation of its properties are an obligation that must be respected without exception.
