Salé: The judicial police and “Al-Desti” have dismantled a criminal network promoting drugs and psychotropic substances.

Members of the Regional Service of the Judicial Police of the city of Salé, in close coordination with the interests of the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance, were able, this Saturday, August 10 in the morning, to thwart an attempt to smuggle 15,105 tablets of narcotics and psychotropic substances.

The security operation carried out for this purpose resulted in the arrest of three people, aged 22 to 36, two of whom had a criminal record, suspected of being linked to a criminal network active in the promotion of drugs and psychotropic substances.

The three suspects were arrested at the representation post on the highway, immediately after their arrival in a light car from one of the cities in the north of the Kingdom, where the search operation found in their possession 15,105 Rivotril narcotic medical tablets, in addition to a sum of money in the amount of 115 thousand 850 dirhams, suspected of being the proceeds of this criminal activity.

The suspects were subjected to a judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to uncover all the circumstances and circumstances of this case, as well as to arrest the other alleged contributors and participants in this criminal activity.
