HIBAPRESS – Mohammed Zerouih
Local authorities and the family of the 24-year-old Moroccan youth, Mohammed El Barazi, have closed a chapter of arduous searching and cruel anticipation, following the discovery of his lifeless body on the coast. This comes just a few days after he embarked on a perilous adventure to reach the occupied city of Melilla by swimming.
The deceased, who hailed from the Nador province, set off towards the water on Saturday, September 19th, in a desperate attempt to cross the maritime border. From that moment, his family was plunged into a vortex of anxiety and waiting, clinging to faint threads of hope of finding him alive. As the sea waves delivered the young man's body, the hopes of the grieving family turned into a shocking reality. The body was immediately transferred to the provincial hospital to carry out the necessary procedures in such cases. In a scene filled with sorrow and anguish, members of the victim's family went to the hospital on Thursday, September 24th, to confirm his identity, amidst the shock that left deep sadness in their hearts, especially for his mother, who is enduring the bitterness of loss while facing extremely serious health conditions.
