HIBAPRESS – Abdelatif Berka
The administration of the Mohammed VI University Hospital Center in Agadir has categorically denied the news circulating on social media platforms, which spoke of the spread of diphtheria within the health institution, as well as the registration of deaths related to the disease.
The center's administration confirmed that the health situation in various departments is proceeding normally, denying the accuracy of the data that spoke of registered cases of infection or the presence of serious infections in the respiratory and skin systems, considering that what is being circulated does not reflect the reality of the situation inside the hospital.
The administration clarified that the center continues to provide its medical services under usual circumstances, adhering to approved health protocols for dealing with cases suspected of infectious diseases, including medical evaluation and taking necessary preventive measures.
The center's administration called on citizens to exercise caution and not to be swayed by unreliable news, and to rely on official sources for health information, in order to avoid the spread of rumors and cause anxiety, emphasizing its commitment to communicate with the public whenever necessary.
