Housing: Crowdfunding stands at 23.1 billion dirhams at the end of June

Crowdfunding for housing, particularly in the form of “real estate Murabaha”, continued to grow and stood at 23.1 billion dirhams (MMDH) at the end of June, after 20.3 MMDH a year earlier, according to Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM).
This financing thus showed an increase of 13.5% compared to June 2023, indicates BAM in its recent “Credits – Bank deposits” dashboard.
According to the same source, household loans recorded an annual increase of 1.2%, mainly reflecting an increase of 1.3% in housing loans and 0.5% in consumer credit.
At the same time, BAM recalls that access to bank financing in the second quarter of 2024 was considered “normal” by manufacturers. As for the rates applied to new loans, they increased to 5.45% in Q2-2024. They stood at 5.34% for large companies and 5.68% for VSEs.
