Moroccan artist Dounia Batma reposted a message from media personality Fahd Al-Hashemi on her Instagram account, criticizing gloating over others' misfortunes, following the verdict issued against artist Saad Lamjarred.
Al-Hashemi stated in his post that what most surprises and disgusts him is "a person gloating over another person's misfortune," questioning how someone can rejoice in the pain of others, regardless of the nature of the mistake or whether the person is guilty or innocent.
He added that life is not devoid of trials, calling not to rejoice in the downfall of others or wish them harm, before concluding his message by praying for safety from "the cruelty of hearts before the calamities of this world."
Dounia Batma chose to repost this message on her account, in a new interaction with the wave of discussion that followed the verdict in Saad Lamjarred's case.
