Territorial group unions threaten to resume demonstrations and strikes

It seems that the series of tensions between the unions representing employees of the regional groups and the Ministry of the Interior will continue after the former intensified its threats of strike action and launched the protest movement.

In this regard, the unions representing territorial municipal employees have decided to resume the protest and paralyze collective facilities throughout the Kingdom, in response to what they consider to be a disregard for their demands and a withdrawal from the results of the May 3 agreement.

The unions of the Democratic Federation of Labor, the Democratic Confederation of Labor, the General Union of Workers of Morocco and the Moroccan Labor Union highlighted the blockage of the ongoing dialogue with the representatives of the Ministry of the Interior at the General Directorate of Territorial Communities due to the methodology adopted in its management, which pushed it to escalation.
