Al-Bayda authorities reiterate decision to close toilets three days a week
Heba Press – Casablanca
Casablanca authorities have reinstated the decision to close toilets three days a week, given the water situation that has sounded the alarm.
The authorities of the city of Casablanca have decided, according to the text of the decision, to ban the activity of toilets on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week, in addition to banning the activity of car and vehicle wash shops during these same days, while preventing the use of drinking water in this process and the adoption of technologies that do not consume water.
The decision comes in view of the observed shortage of water resources at the level of water sources provided to workers in Casablanca resulting from successive years of drought, and with the aim of optimal water management to ensure that the population of the city of Casablanca is supplied with drinking water under normal conditions, the following measures are taken in order to rationalize water consumption.
The owners and managers of the bathrooms have reached in the last hours the text of the decision, with the obligation to be strict in the consumption and use of water, as well as the responsibility to enforce the decision and respect the closing dates in order to avoid panic and the sanctions that could be imposed on those who violate the text of the decision.
