The Tiznit Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered the judicial police services to open an investigation with the owner of a snack store, as part of a complaint filed by a citizen who was exposed to a poisoning accident after eating a snack in the store located in the city center.

This incident occurs a few weeks ago, after the same “snack” caused the poisoning of 38 people, requiring their transfer to the hospital for treatment. It was followed by the arrival of a committee at the store and the seizure of a group of spoiled material, which was carried out. required a closure decision, and the court of first instance issued a judgment against the owner of the store,
He was found guilty and sentenced to one year in prison and a fine of 20,000 dirhams, including 5,000 dirhams in compensation for the civil rights claimant.

However, the reopening of the store despite a number of poisoning victims, as well as the prison sentence he was given, call into question the Tiznit authorities on the extent of their application of the law and the protection of the safety of citizens.
