Colombian star Shakira seeks to reconsider the arrangements related to her children Milan and Sasha meeting their father Gerard Pique, in light of the frequent trips between Miami and Barcelona.
Shakira believes that the children's frequent air travel, especially during short holidays, imposes physical and psychological fatigue on them, and may also affect their stability and academic commitments. This has prompted her to demand a review of the current travel mechanism.
Shakira proposes that Pique bear the responsibility of traveling to Miami during short holidays to meet his children, instead of them continuing to rely on intercontinental flights.
The defense of the Colombian star clarified that this request is not related to depriving the children of their father or limiting the time they spend with him, but rather aims to share the burdens of travel and movement in a more balanced way.
This dispute comes before the family court in Barcelona, after Shakira and Pique ended their relationship, which lasted for more than ten years, in 2022. They agreed at the time that the children would reside with their mother in Miami, in exchange for periodic visits to their father, who resides in Barcelona.
