The Caravan for Land Planning and Housing stopped off in the city of Al Hoceima on August 9 and 10, with the aim of presenting the program of the Ministry of Land Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy.
This initiative aims to inform Moroccans living abroad (MRE) about the latest developments in the urban planning and housing sectors, to provide them with the necessary explanations and to encourage them to acquire housing in their country of origin within the framework of the Royal “Direct Support for Housing” program.
This initiative is part of the national campaign to welcome MREs, launched by the Minister of Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and Urban Policy, under the theme “urban planning and housing at the service of Moroccans around the world”.
In this regard, all components of the ministry have been mobilized at the level of the province of Al Hoceima to implement the circulars issued by the ministry concerned, supporting the summer season of Moroccans around the world for the year 2024.
A series of practical measures have also been taken to strengthen proximity to the community, ensuring that their needs and questions are met, and highlighting the urban planning and construction services provided by the Al Hoceima Urban Agency.
In a statement to MAP, the director of the Al Hoceima Urban Agency, Jamal Hanafi, stressed that the agency is striving to improve the services offered to MREs, as well as the conditions of reception and orientation, through the establishment of a one-stop shop dedicated to this category at the agency’s headquarters throughout the summer.
He also indicated that the agency has set up a communication desk for the diaspora at the port of Al Hoceima, equipped with the necessary media and means of communication, in coordination with Al Omrane Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, as well as the regional and provincial directorates of housing and urban policy.
The agency also organized a permanence outside working hours, including Saturdays, and prepared a guide on the urban planning and construction sector to distribute to the diaspora during their visit to the agency, as well as during open days this month, and at the port’s communication desk.
He added that for services specific to Moroccans around the world, a telephone number has been set up to answer their questions and provide legal clarifications, in addition to the creation of a digital space dedicated to Moroccans around the world bringing together a range of online services available on the website of the Al Hoceima Urban Agency.
