10 Olympic players on Walid Regragui’s list

National voter Walid Regragui, the coach of the first national team, is moving towards the call-up of players from the Moroccan Olympic team, to participate in the next two matches against Gabon and Lesotho, in view of the qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

The upcoming list of the Moroccan national team will include the presence of a significant number of players who participated in the Olympic Games and led the national team to third place, most of whom had already participated in the first team matches.

According to well-informed sources, the preliminary list of the national football team that will face Gabon and Lesotho next September in the first and second rounds of the group stage of the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations includes ten players from the Moroccan Olympic team that won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games.

According to the same sources, Regragui chose ten players from Tariq Sketioui’s list, including Mounir El Mohammadi, Ashraf Hakimi, Oussama El Azouzi, Amir Richardson, Oussama El Ezzouzi, Oussama Tergalin, Elias Akhoumash, Elias Ben Saghir, Sofiane Rahimi and Abdel Samad. El Zalzouli.

The Moroccan national team will start training on Monday, September 2 at the Mohammed VI Complex in Maamoura, with a view to facing Gabon on the 6th of the same month in Agadir, then Lesotho on September 9, in the “CAN” qualifiers.
