The security services at the Laayoune Port police station have succeeded in apprehending the third suspect in a case involving a criminal gang suspected of breaking into two homes and assaulting their residents with bladed weapons, in addition to stealing sums of money.
The suspect, aged 27, was arrested in the Al-Nahda neighborhood in the early hours of Tuesday, October 13, as part of ongoing investigations and inquiries aimed at apprehending all alleged perpetrators involved in this case.
Earlier, security investigations initiated by the competent authorities had led to the apprehension of two suspects and the seizure of two large bladed weapons, before they were brought to justice.
Following the apprehension of the third suspect, he was placed under police custody, at the disposal of the ongoing judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to uncover the circumstances and details of these criminal acts and determine the level of his involvement.
This intervention comes within the framework of security efforts aimed at combating criminal acts that affect the safety of persons and their property, while judicial investigations remain ongoing in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
