The city of Agadir is home to an educational holiday camp for 370 children from the province of Taroudant, which was hit by the earthquake of September 8.

Organized by the regional directorate of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in Souss Massa and the National Federation of Holiday Camps, this initiative, which coincides with the summer holidays, aims to offer psychological and educational support to these children.

The organization of this educational and solidarity camp is part of the initiatives to support people affected by the earthquake and is in accordance with the high guidelines of King Mohammed VI, aimed at giving particular attention to children who can assist them on social, psychological and educational levels.

Participants in this colony benefit from an educational program including artistic and cultural workshops, as well as listening sessions to enable them to overcome the psychological effects of the earthquake and return to a normal life.

In a statement to MAP, the regional director of youth in Souss Massa, Hicham Zelouach indicated that this initiative aims to provide psychological and educational support to children of disaster-stricken families in order to overcome the consequences and repercussions of this natural disaster.

It should be recalled that the Aglou summer camp (Tiznit province) hosted an educational holiday camp in October 2023 for 250 children from the province of Taroudant.
