Younes Frachen, the Secretary-General of the National Syndicate for Education, affiliated with the Democratic Confederation of Labour, revealed that the private security guard who prevented an advisor to the Minister of National Education from entering the ministry's headquarters will not be dismissed from his job.
Frachen said, in a statement published by the syndicate on October 17, 2026, that he had communicated with the Minister of National Education, Primary Education, Vocational Training, and Higher Education, Nabil Benabdellah, indicating that the issue of the guard was raised during this communication.
The syndicate official added that the minister confirmed to him that the guard in question will continue his work and will not be dismissed in light of the incident that sparked a debate about the circumstances of his preventing the minister's advisor from entering the ministry's headquarters.
The guard had prevented a minister's advisor from entering the ministry's headquarters, before news circulated, hours after the incident, stating his dismissal from work, which the minister denied based on the statement of the Secretary-General of the National Syndicate for Education.
