Robber arrested inside hotel in Agadir

The police of the Agadir security state, relying on precise data provided by the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance, were able, in the early hours of the morning of Sunday, August 18, to arrest a 24-year-old person with a criminal record, suspected of being involved in a case related to a theft in a hotel establishment, followed by drunk driving and a fatal road accident.

On 8 August, the national security services of the city of Agadir initiated procedures to control a theft inside a hotel in the same city, during which the suspect was able to seize personal belongings and sums of money. In addition, an all-terrain vehicle belonging to the victim was parked in the garage of the same hotel.

The suspect then caused a fatal road accident outside the urban area with the stolen car, resulting in the death of three passengers who were in the taxi with which the collision occurred.

Intensive searches by national security services led to the identification of the suspect, whose identification showed that he was the subject of several search warrants for theft and violence, before his arrest on Sunday morning in the city of Agadir.

The person concerned is currently the subject of a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, aimed at determining all the circumstances, circumstances and antecedents of the commission of these criminal acts.
