Morocco ranked first in the 2024 African Mathematics Olympiad

Morocco won first place at the 31st African Mathematics Olympiad, hosted by the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, from August 10 to 20, 2024.
The national team was able to obtain 201 points, following the deliberations of the organizing scientific committee, the total number of points obtained being considered a record that no country has ever obtained in the history of the Olympic Games, followed by the Algerian team in second place (186 points), while the Tunisian team obtained third place (133 points).
On this occasion, the Ministry of National Education, Primary Education and Sports congratulated the pupils and students who honored our country in this scientific demonstration, as well as the supervisors and supervisors who ensured their preparation for this continental date, expressing its thanks to the families of these students who ensured their support and accompanied them in a concern for distinction and excellence.
