One person was killed and another critically injured in a serious road accident in Tangier.

A person was killed shortly before Wednesday evening in a serious road accident on the road leading to Ibn Battuta airport, near the “Nakhil” complex in Tangier.

According to Heba Press inspection, a violent collision between a Peugeot light car and a truck caused the death of the driver of the car and the serious injury of his companion, following which he was quickly transferred to the Mohammed V regional hospital in Tangier, where he was admitted to the recovery department and his condition was described as critical.

Civil Protection officers quickly arrived at the scene and worked to transfer the victim’s body to the morgue, after it had been recovered with difficulty from inside the car that had veered off course, a tragic scene that disrupted traffic on the aforementioned road for a while.
