Morocco overtakes Algeria to top North Africa economic freedom index

Morocco continues its path of steady and exemplary development in various fields and sectors, particularly economic, while it rises to the top of many lists, including those linked to the Index of Economic Freedom.

In this regard, Morocco ranks first in the North African region, ahead of its neighbor Algeria, in the Index of Economic Freedom, which includes 174 countries across the world.

According to The Global Economy report, Morocco achieved an average annual score of 60 points in economic freedom during the period from 1995 to 2024.
