Chefchaouen: Inauguration and launch of structuring projects in the province

The governor of the province of Chefchaouen, Mohammed Alami Ouaddane, proceeded Monday, in several municipalities of the province, to the launch and inauguration of structuring projects relating to the supply of drinking water and road connection.

These activities are part of the action plan of the province of Chefchaouen, and aim to reduce territorial and social disparities, work to open up several douars and enable better road connections within the province.

In this regard, Mr. Alami Ouaddane proceeded with the inauguration of a seawater desalination plant at Rouiyesse beach in the commune of Amtar, carried out within the framework of the National Program for the Supply of Drinking Water and Irrigation, for a budget of 17 million dirhams (MDH).

He also supervised the launch of work on the construction of a seawater desalination plant in the village of Jnan Nich in the province of Chefchaouen, as well as work on connecting it to the water distribution network.

In the commune of Khmiss M’diq, the governor of the province of Chefchaouen followed a presentation of the general project for supplying the province’s douars with drinking water, as part of the program to reduce social and territorial disparities, before proceeding with the commissioning of the drinking water supply structures for the douars of Bni Salman, Bni Saleh, Bab Berred, Aounan, Bni Irzen.

Regarding road projects, Mr. Alami Ouaddane launched the work to widen and strengthen regional road No. 419 linking Bab Taza and Oued Melha over a length of 7 km, which mainly aims to improve road safety.

He also launched the work to widen and strengthen the road linking the douars of Aanassr and Boujaad, over a length of 5.5 km, which is part of the National Human Development Initiative (INDH)’s opening-up program.
