Today, Wednesday, August 21, the local authorities of the territorial community “Arkoub”, affiliated to the province of Dakhla, began the process of destroying a number of wooden huts used by people who fish indiscriminately on the coast using “rooms”.
Well-informed sources told Heba Press that local authorities and gendarmes from the territorial community “Arkoub” destroyed about 33 huts on the southern coast of Dakhla, and that the operation is still continuing on several coasts of Dakhla.
Identical sources revealed that the security campaign against the “huts” aims above all to combat illegal immigration on the coasts of Dakhla, because many candidates for illegal immigration now use these huts while waiting to board a boat that will take them to the Canary Islands.
