At Ronaldo’s request… Al-Nasr pushes to ‘kidnap’ Moroccan national team star
Saudi club Al-Nasr is continuing negotiations to sign one of the stars of the Moroccan national team in the current 2024 summer transfer window, after the team’s star, Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, put pressure on the management to reach competitive deals to match rivals Al-Hilal.
A group of Saudi newspapers have circulated the news of Cristiano Ronaldo’s strong pressure on the club’s management, in order to conclude international deals, as the team aims to restore the Saudi Professional League title to its coffers for the first time since the 2018-2019 season.
According to Saudi media, Al-Nasr club has intensified its negotiations to sign a contract with the star of the Moroccan national team and striker of the Emirati club Al-Ain, Sufyan Rahimi.
According to the same source, the Saudi club has established contacts at the highest level, with Al-Nasr being ready to recruit the Moroccan striker at any cost.
Sofiane Rahimi’s marketing value has increased from 5 million euros last year to 8 million euros currently, according to Transfer Market indicators.
Rahimi has a contract with Al Ain until the end of the current 2024-2025 season, which means that the Emirati club will be forced to sell the player in the current Mercato instead of losing him for free in the coming months, which is a point that increases Al-Nasr’s chances of securing Sufyan’s services.
