A child drowned yesterday Wednesday in a water tank intended for irrigation in the Thalassa Naaqoub community, in the province of Al Haouz.
According to a local source, the child chose to swim in the pool to escape the heat, before the water engulfed him and prevented him from getting out.
The same source adds that the interests of the local authority and the Royal Gendarmerie quickly arrived at the scene, where the child’s death was transferred to the morgue and an investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the death.
