The National Bureau of the Democratic Union of Justice is expected to launch a 72-hour national strike on August 27, 28 and 29, 2024, and a final national strike on September 5, 2024.
In a press release, the Democratic Union of Justice has chosen to organize a national protest march on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, starting from Mamounia Square in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice towards the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The union called on the government parties to “assume full responsibility for what the situation in the sector will lead to,” stressing that it “has spared no effort to strengthen the institution of sectoral dialogue and its results in order to avoid a worsening of the situation.”
The union stressed “the continuation of the struggle until a just and motivating statute is approved according to the formula agreed with the Ministry of Justice”, calling on the National Council to meet in ordinary session on the evening of Wednesday, September 4, 2024, immediately after the national protest march, to evaluate and approve the next steps of the struggle program.
