Inauguration of a new headquarters of the Regional Directorate of the High Commission for Planning in Dakhla
Today, Thursday, in the city of Dakhla, the new headquarters of the regional directorate of the High Commission for Planning of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region was inaugurated during a ceremony chaired by the High Commissioner for Planning, Ahmed Halimi Alami.
The new building, which cost a total of around 3 million dirhams to build, was inaugurated in the presence of the governor of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, the governor of the Oued Eddahab region, Ali Khalil, the head of the regional council, the calligrapher Yenga, as well as many elected officials and heads of external services.
In this regard, the regional director of Planning, Sheikh Mohamed Maa El-Ainin, indicated in a statement to the Maghreb Arab Press that the inauguration of this new headquarters is part of the modernization of the means made available to the High Commission for Planning, and in a broader project represented in the global digitalization of all the lines of production of statistical information and the work of the High Commission for Planning.
He added that, by the way, a regional data center linked to the National Data Center of the High Commission for Planning had been created, enabling it to host and maintain regional databases.
This new building of the Regional Directorate of the High Commission for Planning consists of eight offices, a meeting and seminar room, an archive room and another for technical control. The headquarters has also been re-equipped with technical means and equipment, interactive screens, in addition to a set of servers.
As part of its missions, the Directorate will work to complete statistical research and all operations aimed at collecting information in the statistical fields, and to work on the valorization of its results, in addition to developing the statistical bulletin and regional and regional monographs and working to issue and distribute them.
The Directorate also assumes, in particular, the tasks of carrying out studies of an economic, social and demographic nature and contributing to the development of regional, regional, local and sectoral development programs, working on their monitoring and evaluation, monitoring the economic situation, including the labor market and the state of inflation and prices, and working on their monitoring and analysis.
