Embezzlement and squandering of funds land former president of the Social Security Fund in detention

An investigating judge from the financial crimes chamber at the Rabat Court of Appeal decided last night, Friday, to detain the former president of the Social Insurance Fund for public administration officials, Abdelmoula Abdelmoumeni, as well as other employees.
The court decided to prosecute the former president of the provident fund and two other employees on charges related to financial and administrative irregularities and placed them in detention at El Arjat prison.
The persons concerned are being prosecuted for charges of embezzlement of public funds, violation of trust, forgery and destruction of administrative documents.
The Rabat Regional Judicial Police Brigade carried out in-depth investigations after the filing of two complaints by the current director of the provident fund and Minister Younes Sekkouri against those involved in the case.
