The Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports announced that it has digitized several services which require obtaining the national electronic identity card (CNIE), as part of the continued integration new information and communication technologies (ICT) in the management of the education system and the improvement of electronic services provided remotely for the benefit of candidates for certifying exams.

Among these services is the verification of the candidate's personal data, a service which aims to provide a precise, up-to-date database whose data corresponds to those contained in the application file and those included in the official documents at the level of the establishment, in order to limit the risk of errors which usually taint the personal data of candidates, and whose correction entails costs, both for the candidate and for the educational administration, indicates the ministry in a press release.

All candidates are required to verify their data via the aforementioned electronic service, as a condition for being able to obtain the invitation to take the baccalaureate exams, the same source points out.

Among the services is also the application for a post-baccalaureate scholarship, because candidates must have the CNIE to apply for a scholarship for studies after the baccalaureate. It is also possible to obtain the baccalaureate results immediately after their display; as well as the filing of complaints to correct material errors when passing the tests in addition to all electronic services linked to the baccalaureate diploma database in its new digital formula, which allows the candidate to access digital services secured through different electronic media such as mobile phones, computers and tablets, in order to consult the data of this diploma, as well as to share the digital copy for various purposes.

Furthermore, the baccalaureate diploma now includes, among its data, the CNIE number, given that no winner of the 2024 session can claim the diploma without having the CNIE, noted the same source.

In order to guarantee obtaining the baccalaureate diploma as soon as the results of the baccalaureate exams are announced, as well as to benefit from these digital services, the ministry calls on all candidates to quickly obtain the CNIE and provide a copy to the administration of the establishment in which they are continuing their studies, in order to complete their application file to be able to take the baccalaureate exams for the 2024 session.
