A sleepless night in Ouarzazate, Tinghir and Beni Mellal… floods inundate roundabouts and cut off roads

Residents of the provinces of Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Errachidia and Beni Mellal, as well as members of local authorities, experienced a sleepless night on Friday and Saturday evening, due to heavy rains.

The districts and neighborhoods of the above-mentioned regions experienced floods that submerged the streets and houses of residents, causing significant material losses.

A number of videos in circulation have documented the drowning of a group of cars, bicycles, livestock and residents’ property, in addition to the drowning of agricultural crops and the interruption of road axes.

It is worth noting that yesterday evening, Friday, several regions experienced heavy rains accompanied by hail and strong winds.
