Olympic Champion Sofiane El Bakkali Wins 3000m Steeplechase at Silesian Forum

Moroccan Olympic champion Sofiane El Bakkali won the 3,000-meter steeplechase today, Sunday, at the Silesian Forum in Poland, as part of the 12th stage of the Diamond League.

Al-Bakali won in 8:04.29, ahead of Kenyan Amos Serem (8:04.29) and Ethiopian Samuel Verio (8:04.34).

The Moroccan champion was able to retain his Olympic title in the 3,000 meters steeplechase at the Paris Olympics, after having already won gold at the Tokyo Olympics.
