Heba Press – Al-Bayda
A number of residents of the city of Casablanca have renewed their demands to resolve the problem of houses on the verge of collapse, after the aftershocks of the earthquake recorded by Portugal on Monday morning reached Morocco.
Residents of several districts of the economic capital have called on the authorities concerned to urgently address the problem of houses on the verge of collapse, which pose a danger to their inhabitants, especially in the event of earthquakes or heavy rains.
It is worth noting that the State of Portugal caused a moderate earthquake at dawn on Monday, the aftershocks of which reached the borders of the city of Casablanca.
According to the Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was recorded in the North Atlantic Ocean, 89 kilometers southwest of Lisbon, where it was felt in several Portuguese and Spanish cities, and reached the borders of Casablanca in Morocco.
The magnitude of the earthquake ranged from 5.4 to 6.2 Richter.
