“Ongoing Show”… a new crisis for Sherine

Sherine Abdel Wahab’s crises became a “continuous spectacle” as her conflicts grew and ranged from personal to artistic to legal.

Sherine’s lawyer, Counselor Yasser Kantoush, announced that he was withdrawing from her case for “humiliating the language,” coinciding with composer Amr Mostafa’s accusation that he stole one of her melodies in his latest songs.

The famous composer Amr Mostafa announced today, Monday, in a message published on his page of the social network “Facebook” that one of his melodies was stolen by one of the composers, who stole the idea of the melody and presented it in a new song by Sherine Abdel Wahab.

Amr Mostafa published an excerpt from one of Sherine Abdel Wahab’s songs, titled “Precious for us, our country,” and wrote in comment: “Amr Mostafa’s melodies are not authorized for publication, and the idea of the melody was stolen from a new song by Sherine,” adding: “All this will be judged in due time.”

Amr Mostafa confirmed that the stolen melody was played only in a concert and that it was not authorized to be published. He threatened the composer who stole the melody without mentioning his name and stressed that he would not give up his right.

It is worth noting that Sherine Abdel Wahab’s song “Precious for us, O our country” was presented in 2019 and composed by Amr Mostafa. As for Sherine’s new song, which has the same melody, Amr Mostafa did not talk about it, while he said that he left it to the public to determine the intended song, according to some local websites.

It is noteworthy that a dispute broke out between Amr Mostafa and Sherine Abdel Wahab that lasted for six full years, and the matter reached the point where Amr Mostafa attacked Sherine at that time and asked her to prevent the release of the song “I did not understand it”, and give the song to another singer, before Mostafa announced a reconciliation with Sherine in 2021 and they resumed their artistic cooperation.
